2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
Lamborghini Bergen County introduced the 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 at an event that brought numerous Lamborghini owners to the Meridian Hangar at Teterboro Airport, home of the Halcyon Jet Company, a private jet service provider that cosponsored the event. Lamborghini Bergen County is a factory authorized dealership located in New Jersey, close to New York City.

In the hangar, I had my first live glimpse of Lamborghini's newest exotic car, the Gallardo LP560-4, a 2-door, 2-passenger luxury sports coupe. As its name implies, the gussied-up Gallardo delivers 560 hp at 8,000 rpm from its new, direct-injected 5.2-liter V10. The number 4 designation indicates a permanent four-wheel drive transmission. It also sports a new improved suspension. Cutting off 20 kilos (44 lb.) from the curb weight allows the LP560-4 to accelerate to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds, 124 mph in 11.8 seconds, and on to a top speed of 201 mph, all the while increasing fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions by a considerable 18%. This auto’s powerful elegance and extreme sensuality are based upon precision, performance, and clean surface edges in a distinctive minimalist design.
The redesigned rear lights, air-cooling vents, bumper, and diffuser are arranged in precise positions on the car's exterior, which make it appear extremely wide and firmly anchored to the road’s surface. In addition, the streamlined covers left and right of the engine hood and front spoiler, positioned low between the air intakes, accentuate the powerful lines of the new Gallardo. The Lamborghini engineers have improved traction, handling, and stability at high speeds.
The Gallardo LP560-4 is the successor to the most successful Lamborghini model of all time. Approximately 7100 Gallardo models have left the Sant'Agata production plant in Bologna since its launch in 2003.
